What are you looking for?

This is a great place to start your search for information

Search engines are a fine place to start a search of the Internet, but often the results are unsatisfactory. Besides, the Internet isn't the only place to find information. Our library has gathered together some great resources for you to use to find the information you need.

  • Use Iowa Locator or WorldCat to find books, CDs, DVDs and other items in libraries
  • Use LearningExpress to learn a new subject, brush up on job skills, or get ready for SAT/ACT tests
  • Use Gale/Cengage to research on any topic
  • Use Transparent Language to learn a new language or brush up on a language, or even use it for extra study if you are already taking a language course and want some extra help.
  • Use Credo to do research for a paper you are writing, or to find information on subjects that interest you.
  • Use Chilton Auto Repair database to find instructions on maintenance on a very wide variety of cars, trucks and SUV's.
Search our Online Patron Access Catalog (OPAC) to find books and movies located in the library.

The subject guides give you a great place to find information on travel, sports, consumer goods and more.

Iowa Heritage Project and Iowa Publications Online can help you dig deep into all things Iowa.
